We want our customers to have an exceptional experience with us. We constantly strive to keep communication open, simple and friendly and for our customers to understand what to expect of their experience with us.

Whisky & Tweed is not affiliated with Sony Pictures Entertainment, Diana Gabaldon or Starz Entertainment. Our Outlander tours are intended to entertain Outlander fans while allowing them to experience some of the best that Scotland has to offer. No copyright or trademark infringement is intended on Whisky & Tweed’s website.
Definitions
In these terms and conditions;
“Whisky & Tweed” is the trading name of Neil Munro & Isla Kirk.
The “Customer” means any individual receiving services from Whisky & Tweed.
The “Lead Customer” is any individual responsible for engaging the services of Whisky & Tweed on behalf of a multi-person group.
The “Vehicle” means any motor vehicle Whisky & Tweed uses to provide experiences.
The “Tour” means experience, activities and provisions arranged by Whisky & Tweed.
“Private Tour” means a Booking which is exclusively for an individual or multi-person group.
“Booking” means the reaching of agreement between Whisky & Tweed and the Customer for provision of services.
"Tours & Activities" means any aspect of the service provided by Whisky & Tweed that includes driving people to and guiding people around locations.
Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions refer to Tours provided by Neil Munro & Isla Kirk of Cambuscurrie, Edderton, Tain, operating as and herein referred to as ‘Whisky & Tweed’.
​
All Customers from out with the United Kingdom must possess a valid passport or other official identification which allows them to travel and it is their responsibility to ensure that all visa and immigration requirements are met.
​
By agreeing to these terms and conditions, the Customer is agreeing to be bound by them. For multi-person bookings, the Lead Customer agreeing to the terms and conditions for the Tour, does so on behalf of the other group members also.

The contents of www.whiskyandtweed.com are for general information only and are subject to change at any time without notice being given. No guarantee or warranty is given as to the accuracy of the information provided. The Customer acknowledges that such information may contain inaccuracies or errors. Whisky & Tweed expressly excludes liability for any such inaccuracies to the fullest extent permitted by law. Use of information or material held on www.whiskyandtweed.com is at the Customer’s own risk and the Customer will take responsibility for ensuring that any Tours meet their specific requirements.

Scottish law dictates that smoking is not allowed in any vehicles or buildings used by the Public and as such, Whisky & Tweed adheres to a strict no smoking policy.
​
Whisky & Tweed accept any age of Customer on our Private Tours although adult accompaniment is essential for those under the age of 18 years.
​
For groups of 1-7, Whisky & Tweed’s Vehicle is a Mercedes-Benz V-Class. The Vehicle is air conditioned, has privacy glass, leather seats, electric charging points and arm rests. Should this vehicle be unavailable, Whisky & Tweed will endevour to source a similar vehicle.
​
Larger groups will travel in a hired Vehicle with driver, the nature of which will depend on the group size and Tour requirements.
​
Whisky & Tweed’s Tours do not involve lengthy walks or a high level of fitness unless expressly requested and discussed prior to booking. Some locations may involve inclines or stairs. Whisky & Tweed reserves the right to omit part of a Tour or recommend that a Customer does not participate in an element of the Tour if it is felt they are unable to undertake safely.
If any Customer has special requirements e.g. diet or mobility restrictions, it is their responsibility to discuss these prior to Booking and all reasonable effort will be made to accommodate where possible.

Customers must bring footwear and clothing suitable for the changeable Scottish weather and Tour conditions.
​
All Whisky & Tweed’s Tours are suitable for English speaking Customers.
​
Whisky & Tweed are unable to accept pets on our Tours.
Food & Drink
​
Food and drink while Touring is not included unless specified otherwise. Where applicable, lunch and/or dinner options will be discussed. This may be a restaurant or café, take away, packed meal or food purchased from a supermarket but all are at the Customer’s expense.
Payment
​
Payments are made through WeTravel or LoPay who accept all major cards. Bank Transfers can also be accepted. Tour extensions, additional activities and other expenses can be paid in cash or via LoPay during the Tour.
Cancellations
​
Customer Cancellations:
​
Tours cancelled within 61+ days of the start date will be due a 100% refund of deposit paid minus any non-recoverable expenses incurred by Whisky & Tweed.
​
Tours cancelled within 31-60 days of the start date will be due a 75% refund of deposit paid minus any non-recoverable expenses incurred by Whisky & Tweed.
​
Tours cancelled within 30 days of the start date will be due a 0% refund.
​
Itinerary Planning Fees are non-refundable.
​
Whisky & Tweed Cancellations:
​
If Whisky & Tweed is unable to fulfil a Booking, every effort will be made to find an alternative guide or replacement Tour. If this isn't possible an alternative Tour date will be offered or a full refund will be issued.
​
In the unlikely event that the Tour is cancelled part way through, Whisky & Tweed will provide transportation back to your collection point on that day and a pro-rata refund for the cancelled portion of the Tour.
​
All of our Tours require a 20% deposit to be paid at point of booking with two further payments, 60-days prior to the Tour date, and 30-days prior to the Tour date. Payment and receipt do not imply acceptance of a Booking. A contract is only made between the Customer(s) and Whisky & Tweed upon emailed acceptance to either the Customer or their authorised Travel Agent.
Multi-day Tour enquiries may attract an Itinerary Planning Fee. This is a one-off, non-refundable charge to cover the work that goes into planning an extensive Tour and is deductible from the Tour price at point of booking.

On single person Bookings, it is the Customer’s responsibility to check the accuracy of their Booking. On multi-person Bookings, it is The Lead Customer’s responsibility to check the accuracy of the Booking for all Customers in the group. This includes travel dates.
Whisky & Tweed reserves the right to charge a £30 administration fee for cancelled incorrect bookings or bookings made contrary to Whisky & Tweed’s Terms & Conditions, in addition to which the Customer will not be refunded any non-recoverable expenses incurred by Whisky & Tweed. Such circumstances include but are not limited to Booking a Tour which Customer mobility or health doesn’t allow them to take.

Should the Customer wish to amend or cancel their Booking, this should be done in writing via email to hello@whiskyandtweed.com – for cancellations, the date received by Whisky & Tweed will be the date of cancellation.
Accommodation & Travel
​
The Tour starts upon collection from the address or point agreed with the Customer, Lead Customer or Travel Agent and travel prior to that time is not included in the Booking. It is the Customer’s responsibility or that of their authorised Travel Agent to organise international travel arrangements to the agreed collection point. Where changes to travel plans occur, Whisky & Tweed cannot take responsibility for alterations or delays that impact on the Tour but will attempt to accommodate them where reasonably possible.

Accommodation is not included as part of your Tour unless expressly stated. Whisky & Tweed can advise on accommodation sourcing if required but takes no responsibility for availability, cost, quality, cancellation or alteration of bookings with third party suppliers.
Liability
​
Whisky & Tweed does not accept liability for loss, damage, delay, inconvenience or consequential loss caused, unless due to our negligence, in which case liability is limited to the cost of the Tour. Tour activities such as site visits or walks are at the Customer’s own risk. Whisky & Tweed will not accept responsibility for accidents, injury, lack of fitness, illness, negligence or lack of punctuality attributable to the Customer.

Notification of disability or illness should be made prior to Booking so that needs and suitability of the Tour can be discussed.
​
Whisky & Tweed does not accept responsibility for loss of valuables, including camera equipment, during the Tour.
​
Whisky & Tweed will use all reasonable and legal means to ensure that the Tour starts and concludes at the time agreed. Whisky & Tweed will not incur any liability in the event of any delay due to causes out with their control. These circumstances include but are not limited to: weather, roads, traffic, civil disturbance, industrial action, strikes, war, sickness, flood and any other event beyond their reasonable control or force majeure.

Whisky & Tweed does not accept liability for death, bodily injury or illness unless this arises from a negligent act and/or omission of Whisky & Tweed or a representative of Whisky & Tweed while acting on behalf of Whisky & Tweed during the course of the Tour.
Insurance & Safety
​
Whisky & Tweed does not accept responsibility for conditions out with their control such as weather, site closures, traffic congestion. Whisky & Tweed reserves the right to cancel or alter any Tour or itinerary where necessary.
​
Whisky & Tweed strongly advises participants to have insurance cover in place for the duration of their Booking which covers them for travel, medical treatment, injury, death and repatriation as well as cancellation, curtailment and loss of, or damage to, personal possessions.
Complaints
​
Any complaints about your Tour should be made immediately so that Whisky & Tweed has the option to discuss and rectify the issue if possible. Outstanding complaints should be made in writing within fourteen days of the end of the Tour to;

If disputes cannot be resolved directly within six weeks, a mediator will be selected with the assistance of the Law Society of Scotland. If mediation is unsuccessful, the Sheriff Court of Inverness shall have jurisdiction and the Scottish Law shall apply.
